Dawn Bolka, RVT has been Executive Director of the Calumet Area Veterinary Medical Association since June 1, 2009. She was preceeded by Jeff Weitzel.

Ms. Bolka graduated from Purdue University in 1982 with an Associate's of Science in Veterinary Technology and subsequently completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan University in 1995. She taught at Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine for 11 years before returning to Michigan City, IN where she was employed in various small animal practices in the area such as Hobart Animal Clinic.

Ms. Bolka is currently employed at Clinilab and is also Adjunct Professor of Veterinary Studies at Brown Mackie College in Michigan City. She has one dog, a lab-sheltie mix named Chelsea, and two cats, lil Bit and Tigger. Ms. Bolka can be seen selling dog bandanas and blankets at local craft shows with friends during her free time.
